Philip John Clapp, known as Johnny Knoxville, is an American actor, stuntman, filmmaker and comedian. He is best known as the co-creator and star of the MTV reality show Jackass, which aired for three seasons from 2000 to 2002. A year later, Knoxville and his co-stars returned. With the first Jackass franchise, with the second and third released in 2006 and 2010. Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, the first in the series with a plot, saw him playing the role of his character Jackass Irving Zisman. Knoxville has starred in films such as Men in Black II, A Dirty Shame and Walking Tall, The Dukes of Hazzard, The Ringer, and a cameo role as president of a skateboard company in Lords of Dogtown, The Last Stand and Skiptrace. He also voiced Leonardo in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
He rose to popularity as the creator, producer, and frequent victim of MTV's stunt show Jackass, where he was born Philip John Clapp. He went on to star in a number of feature films, including The Dukes of Hazzard and adaptations of his successful Jackass series.
